NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Wednesday’s University of Notre Dame home softball game against Michigan State has been canceled due to the potential for severe evening weather in the South Bend area.

Michigan State elected not to use a travel day based on the forecast of expected storms throughout the state of Indiana on Wednesday night, and there are no current plans to reschedule the game. The 5 p.m. (ET) game was slated to air on ESPN3.

No. 19/17 Notre Dame returns to Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play with a three-game series at Syracuse that begins Friday in advance of the Easter holiday. The Irish are back at Melissa Cook Stadium to take on IPFW March 30 at 5 p.m. (ET).
