NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Owing to impeding inclement weather, the University of Notre Dame fencing program has withdrawn from the Duke Duals.

The team’s scheduled Friday flight from Chicago to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, was cancelled Thursday as heavy snow approaches the area.

Notre Dame will return to the strip as a team at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, Feb. 24-25, hosted by the University of North Carolina. Individual Irish fencers will compete at the US Fencing Junior Olympics from Feb. 16-19 in Memphis, Tennessee.
