NOTRE DAME, Ind. – As Winter Storm Jonas bears down on the Eastern seaboard, the University of Notre Dame has developed a contingency plan for its women’s basketball game against Virginia Tech on Sunday afternoon at Purcell Pavilion in the event the Hokies’ departure from their Blacksburg, Virginia, campus is delayed.

Should the Virginia Tech travel party depart on time on Saturday afternoon, and at this point, there is every expectation that will be the case, Sunday’s game between Notre Dame and Virginia Tech will tip off as scheduled at 1 p.m. (ET).

However, in the unlikely event the Hokies are not able to leave Blacksburg until Sunday morning, the start of the game between Notre Dame and Virginia Tech will be pushed back to 4 p.m. (ET) Sunday.

A final decision on the tip-off time for Sunday’s Notre Dame-Virginia Tech women’s basketball game will be made no later than Saturday evening.
