Vote For David Earl And Scott Rodgers For The All-MLL Team

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Former Notre Dame All-Americans David Earl and Scott Rodgers are on the ballot for the 2011 All-Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Team. Fans can vote online at Lacrosse.com for the 11-man squad. Both Earl and Rodgers play for the Hamilton Nationals.

The MLL and Lacrosse.com (Great Atlantic Lacrosse Company) are giving fans the opportunity to determine who will make this year’s All-MLL Team.

As the regular season comes to a close, the attention turns to the season’s best athletes, many of whom will be competing at the 2011 Sports Authority MLL Championship Weekend presented by Warrior. The league’s best of the best will be selected to join the All-MLL Team through 30% fan influence with the general managers and coaches deciding the rest of the vote.

The poll was launched August 8 and will close August 19. MLL and Lacrosse.com look forward to hearing the fans’ opinions and giving them the opportunity to choose the best players.

Earl is one of 12 midfielders on the ballot. He has played in nine games this season for the Nationals and has tallied 14 goals and three assists. Earl garnered All-America honors with the Fighting Irish in 2010 and 2011. He was named the 2011 BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year.

Rodgers is one of four goalies on the list. He has played eight games in goal this season for Hamilton and boasts a 4-2 record with a .553 save percentage. Rodgers was named the 2010 NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player as he helped the Irish to a runner-up finish. He copped All-America accolades in 2009 and 2010.
