Vasturia In Phoenix For Reese's All-Star Game

March 30, 2017

NOTRE DAME, Indiana — University of Notre Dame men’s basketball senior guard Steve Vasturia will appear in the 2017 Reese’s Division I College All-Star Game to be played on Reese’s Final Four Friday, March 31, at 3:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. ET) at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Phoenix, Arizona. The game will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

The rosters are composed of 21 of the nation’s outstanding seniors in NCAA Division I with Georgia Tech head coach Josh Pastner heading the East All-Stars and University of Colorado head coach Tad Boyle heading the West All-Stars.

Vasturia averaged 13.1 points and 3.3 assists per game for the Fighting Irish in 2016-17 while serving as team tri-captain with classmate V.J. Beachem and junior Bonzie Colson. The Medford, New Jersey, native finished his career as one of the winningest players in Notre Dame basketball history. Along with Beachem, Vasturia will graduate with 97 victories over the four years he played for the Irish – matching the 2012-13 graduating class for the school record. With Vasturia on the roster, Notre Dame has set school marks for wins in a three-year span (82) and a two-year span (56).

A key contributor on two NCAA Championship Elite Eight teams and the 2015 ACC Championship team at Notre Dame, Vasturia also set the school record for single-season free throw percentage in 2016-17 (.910) and ranks second all-time at Notre Dame in career free throw percentage (.853). He finished with an even 1,400 points scored at Notre Dame which ranks 22nd in the Irish record books.
