Two Irish Duos Fall at NCAAs

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Notre Dame Women’s Tennis concluded its 2021 as two Irish duos fell in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament’s doubles bracket.

“Our program would like to thank Notre Dame, the ACC, and everyone that worked tirelessly to create a safe and healthy environment for us to compete,” head coach Alison Silverio said. “We will build upon the positives and learn from the lessons we experienced this season. To our players: your hard work, persistence, determination, and efforts will bode well in all your future professional and personal lives!”

Senior Cameron Corse and sophomore Page Freeman began the day of Irish competition, battling Texas’ Kylie Collins and Lulu Sun. After dropping the first set in a tight, 7-6 grind, Corse and Freeman would fall in the second set, 6-3.

Corse and Freeman would end the year with a 12-5 mark as a duo, including four ranked wins in 2021.

Senior Ally Bojczuk and junior Julia Lilien challenged Furman’s Katarina Kozarov and Julia Adams in the second Irish match of the day. After falling behind, 6-3, in a first-set loss, Bojczuk and Lilien would then fall 6-2 in the second.

Bojczuk and Lilien would end the year with a 6-6 mark on the season as a duo.
