NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Due to scheduling conflicts, two road dates on the 2003 University of Notre Dame men’s tennis schedule have been changed. The match at Wisconsin, originally scheduled for Feb. 6 will be played on Tuesday, Feb. 4, while the Irish will travel to Kentucky on Sunday, April 13 instead of the originally scheduled date of two days earlier.
The Irish, who competed in four tournaments during the fall, will open the spring season Jan. 16-19 in Las Vegas, Nev., participating in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic. Notre Dame’s dual-match slate gets underway Friday, Jan. 24 at 4:00 p.m. against Indiana in the Eck Tennis Pavilion.
In 2001-02, Notre Dame finished 23-7 and advanced to the round of 16 of the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1994.
