NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s track and field teams travel to East Lansing, Mich., April 5-6, to participate in the Spartan Invitational on the campus of Michigan State University.

Competition begins at 2 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. Saturday for the non-scored meet.

Running events will be held in the Ralph Young Track and Field Facility. The hammer, discus and javelin events will be contested at Munn Field. The long jump, triple jump, high jump and pole vault events will each be held in the Jenison Field House.

The Irish are coming off six event victories and eight second-place finishes from last weekend’s Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif. Carly Loeffel additionally took first in the heptathlon (5,113 points) at the Oliver Nikoloff Open in Cincinnati, Ohio during the same weekend.

Notre Dame will head next to Louisville, Ky., for the Louisville Border Battle next Saturday, April 13.
