NOTRE DAME, Ind. –
Members of the University of Notre Dame track and field teams held competition in three different meets in the span of three days. Senior Daniel Jackson (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) ran the 10,000 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday in Walnut, Calif., while members of the thrower squad competed at the Azusa Pacific Invitational Friday, before concluding weekend competition at the Mt. SAC Relays and the Long Beach State Invitational Saturday.
Women’s Results from the Mt. SAC Relays:
1,500 Meters: Rebecca Tracy ran to a second-place finish in 4:20.38 and Kelly Curran placed 21st in 4:27.92.
Men’s Results from the Mt. SAC Relays:
10,000 Meters: Daniel Jackson finished in fifth place in 29:28.61 while running in the Elite group at the Mt. SAC Relays.
1,500 Meters (Elite): Jeremy Rae claimed second place in 3:41.11.
800 Meters: Jack Howard was the fourth-place finisher in 1:49.82.
Women’s Results from the Azusa Pacific Invitational
Hammer Throw: Madeline Casanova placed ninth (45.80m) in the second flight.
Men’s Results from the Azusa Pacific Invitational
Hammer Throw: Denes Veres placed first (54.08m) in the second flight. Greg Davis was fourth (56.24m) in the third flight, while John Belcher claimed eighth (54.11m) and Andrew Hills placed 10th in the third flight.
Women’s Results from the Long Beach State Invitational
Discus Throw: Madeline Casanova placed 24th (43.47m).
800 Meters: Rebecca Tracy finished in second place in 2:07.21 and Kelly Curran finished fourth in 2:11.13.

The Irish track and field teams return to action April 28 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa and April 29 at the Hillsdale Relays in Hillsdale, Mich.
