SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP)–Freshman Sean Bischofberger’s two-run single in the bottom of the ninth gave Cal State-Fullerton a 6-5 victory over Michigan.
Trailing 5-3 heading into the ninth, the Titans (45-11) loaded the bases with one out on a hit batter, a walk and the third hit of the day by designated hitter Aaron Rifkin. Ryan Owens cut the margin to a run with an RBI-single before Bischofberger’s game-winner.
Rob Bobeda led off the ninth with a homer for Michigan (32-29).
