NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame announced Wednesday that its Nov. 7 women’s basketball exhibition game against Wayne State University at Purcell Pavilion now will tip off at noon (ET), one hour earlier than previously stated.

This change was made following the announcement that the Fighting Irish football game at the University of Pittsburgh on Nov. 7 will kick off at noon (ET) at Heinz Field and will be televised on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.

Fans attending the Notre Dame women’s basketball exhibition game will have numerous opportunities to follow the Fighting Irish football team’s progress through updates on the Purcell Pavilion video board. What’s more, the Notre Dame women’s basketball exhibition game is expected to end at a time that will allow fans to return home in order to view the second half of the Fighting Irish football game.

The Notre Dame women’s basketball exhibition game also can be heard live on radio in the South Bend area on Pulse FM (96.9/92.1), as well as online through the official Fighting Irish athletics multimedia platform, WatchND (watchnd.tv). There is no scheduled live video stream on WatchND for the exhibition game against Wayne State.

The Nov. 7 contest will mark the first opportunity for fans to see the 2015-16 Notre Dame squad, which brings back four starters and 10 monogram recipients from last year’s club that posted a 36-3 record and swept the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season and tournament titles for the second consecutive year. The Fighting Irish also will unveil the nation’s No. 3-ranked incoming freshman class, a three-player group that features three McDonald’s High School All-America guards.

Single-game tickets for the 2015-16 Notre Dame women’s basketball campaign, as well as membership passes for Purcell Pavilion’s Club Naimoli (a package that includes numerous benefits such as reserved parking, early arena entry and complimentary premium menu items), are on sale through Notre Dame’s Murnane Family Ticket Office at (574) 631-7356 or visiting the ticket windows inside Gate 9 (Rosenthal Atrium) at Purcell Pavilion. Tickets also can be ordered on-line 24 hours a day with a major credit card at UND.com/buytickets.
