NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Timothy Novak, who has worked as a graduate assistant in the volunteer center at Central Michigan University since August ’07, has been named the coordinator of special event and family programming in RecSports at the University of Notre Dame.

In his time at Central Michigan, Novak was the coordinator of office operations and oversaw the training, development and management of the student staff in the office.

Prior to his time with the Chippewa’s, Novak worked as an assistant camp director with Camp Kids in Davison Mich. from May-August of ’07, where he planned and operated all programming for the camp.

He also spent time as the aquatic sports director from May-December of ’06 at Spring Hills Camp in Evart, Mich. His job duties included safety training and orientation of the campers on the appropriate use of equipment and water safety.

Novak received his bachelor’s in outdoor recreation in 2006 from Central Michigan and has received his CPR and lifeguarding certification as well.
