For the first time, Notre Dame fans now can go online to purchase tickets to Irish athletic events.
Fast, easy and convenient ticket sales and renewals over the Internet on a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-per-week basis are now available through a site directly linked from the “tickets” page on www.und.com (Notre Dame’s official athletic web site). The site offers instant order confirmation and seat assignment for reserved events. Customers can choose to have tickets mailed to them or held for will-call pickup on event night. Services charges do apply.
The system currently is being used for football season-ticket renewals, individual Irish baseball game sales, as well as exhibition events in soccer (Notre Dame vs. Mexico Women’s National Team and Men’s Under-17 Team on April 22) and women’s basketball (WNBA Detroit Shock vs. Indiana Fever on May 3).
The Notre Dame athletic ticket office plans to expand its online offerings in the future to iinclude single-game tickets for all sports, season renewals for all sports, group sales — and ultimately migrating the annual ticket lottery online in the next few years.
The system launched Monday, April 4, — and within the first week, hundreds of customers already have renewed or purchased tickets over the web. The launch represents more than five years of planning, development, negotiation and implementation. The software provider is Paciolan Systems Inc., of Irvine, Calif.
