NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Three members of Notre Dame’s top-ranked women’s soccer team will chat live on ESPN.com. Meotis Erikson, Kelly Lindsey and Anne Makinen will answer fan questions live at 6 p.m. EST on Tuesday.
Lindsey is one of this year’s captains and an anchor on the Irish defense. She joined the U.S. National team at the 2000 Australia Cup and helped the team win the event.
Makinen also is one of Notre Dame’s captains and scored one of the two goals in Notre Dame’s 2-0 win over Harvard last week. The three-time All-American dominates the Irish midfield, having scored 14 goals for the Irish this season. She also is a member of Finland’s national team and has played in all but one game this season.
Erikson has racked up 12 goals in 2000, after ranking as the team’s top-returning scorer from 1999. She has started all 23 games for the Irish this season and has appeared in all 99 games of her Notre Dame career.
Notre Dame will face Santa Clara in its seventh straight appearance in the NCAA quarterfinal round. The game will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday at Alumni Field.
