Tamara's Take On The Season Opener

Aug. 30, 2017 Finally after a Blue-Gold game and a New & Gold game, Notre Dame is 3 days away from kickoff against Temple.

In honor of game week, here are 3 things I’m sure everyone is looking forward to on September 2nd.

1. Temple

After a couple scrimmages, it’s time for some live game action. We all remember the last time Notre Dame played Temple. Notre Dame escaped with a victory at Lincoln Financial Field giving Temple their first loss of the season.

Now the Owls travel to the Fighting Irish to play in front of over 80,000 people.

See what Head Coach, Brian Kelly had to say at his press conference about preparing for Temple.

2. The Transformation

The home-opener for Notre Dame Football will be Christmas in September for all Fighting Irish fans.

The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here and besides the action on the field, everyone is waiting to see the stadium makeover in person.

13,000 tons of structural steel went into 3 new buildings at ND Stadium.

For National Signing Day in February, I met with Missy Conboy, Senior Deputy Athletic Director, & talked about the upcoming changes and now the plans have come to life.

3. Tailgating Besides watching the Irish win, the second best part about college football is meeting up with your family and friends before and after the game.

One thing I’ve learned my first year at Notre Dameââ’¬¦fans come from all over to watch the Fighting Irish.
