The 2005 football season marks the 75th anniversary of the opening of fabled Notre Dame Stadium — and there already have been 379 Irish games played to date in that facility.

So, what would be considered the greatest home game played in the history of Notre Dame football starting with the 1930 season?

Was it the fabled green-jersey game against USC in ’77?

How about the triumph over top-ranked Florida State in 1993?

What about the upset of top-ranked Miami in 1988?

Notre Dame fans will have the chance to determine the top 20 games in Notre Dame Stadium football history as part of a joint promotion involving the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame Sports Properties and College Sports Online.

Irish fans have the opportunity to select their top games as part of a season-long program celebrating the history of Notre Dame’s home football facility.

Fans are invited to choose their top 15 home games in Irish football history (in no particular order) since the Stadium opened in 1930 — and votes will be tabulated to produce a final top 20 listing.

Results will be announced later this summer and will be highlighted throughout the 2005 football season.
