PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Notre Dame and Rutgers now will attempt to play one game today (Sunday) and two on Monday, as rain and soggy field conditions continue to delay the start of their key BIG EAST series.

Sunday’s game tentatively will start at 3:00 EDT (2:00 in South Bend), with a decision to be made at 1:00 as to whether a game will be played today (note that RU’s Class of ’53 Complex does not have lights).

Regardless of Sunday’s action, the teams will try to play twice on Monday – with a likely start time of earlier than noon (TBA).

Junior lefthander Tom Thornton remains Notre Dame’s probable game-1 starter while senior righthander Aaron Kalb is the likely RU starter.
