Kari Oliver is in her sixth year in 2020 as a sports nutrition associate.

In her role, Oliver fuels and educates the Fighting Irish football team. She coordinates all meals and snacks at home and on the road, as well as overseeing training table. Oliver conducts body composition testing, runs one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions for student-athletes and gives nutrition lectures to football, as well as volleyball, baseball, softball, fencing, men’s golf and cheerleading. She also serves on the Athletics Supplement Committee.

Prior to working at Notre Dame, Oliver was a sports nutrition intern at USC. She also served as a lifestyle educator at Kaiser Permanente for nearly four years, educating and counseling those with physical limitations and various medical conditions on exercise and healthy living practices. Oliver served as a sports nutrition summer intern at Baylor University.

Oliver graduated from California Baptist University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science. She earned a master’s degree in nutritional science from California State University-Los Angeles in 2015. Oliver completed her dietetic internship in 2014-15, and completed her rotations at Huntington Memorial Hospital, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department men’s and women’s jails and at USC.

Oliver was a four-year member of the California Baptist women’s volleyball team, playing libero and serving as captain her senior year.
