Bio

Chad DeWeese is beginning his sixth year at the University of Notre Dame, and is a member of the Fighting Irish Event Management staff, having joined that department in August 2013.

In his current role, DeWeese is responsible for aiding Associate Athletics Director Monica Cundiff with the coordination of all game day management for Olympic sporting events, all event management aspects for select events held in the Joyce Center, and the planning of a variety of other events in the building. Primarily focused on Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Fencing, and Men’s/Women’s Lacrosse, DeWeese coordinates many aspects related to visiting team travel and practices, and serves as the team’s main contact while in South Bend. DeWeese also serves as facility manager of Arlotta Stadium,

DeWeese’s other duties also include the coordination of athletic facilities for outside University events, as well the NBC executive client hospitality program, placing bids for post-season tournaments, and all game day management aspects related to NCAA Championship sponsored events hosted by the University.

DeWeese is a 2011 and 2013 graduate of Ball State University, where he earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in the area of Sports Administration. Prior to coming to Notre Dame, DeWeese served as the Graduate Assistant for Administration and Operations within Ball State’s athletic department from 2011-13. DeWeese was also a marketing and promotions student assistant and volunteer from 2008-11 while at Ball State.

In his spare time, DeWeese enjoys spending time with his wife (Alexandra), daughter (Emerson), son (Trey) and friends, golfing, and watching sports. An Indianapolis native, DeWeese and his wife currently reside in South Bend, Ind.
