  • Earned three hat tricks against Marquette (Feb. 9), at #3 Northwestern (Feb. 14) and vs. Ohio State (Feb. 23).
  • Collected a career-high three assists in a four-point effort against #18 Boston College (March 7).
  • Added five ground balls, three caused turnovers and a pair of draw controls.

AS A SENIOR: 

  • Started all 19 games for the Irish.
  • Finished second on the Irish with 53 goals and third with 62 points. 
  • Netted at least three goals in 10 contests, including four ACC tilts.
  • Posted career-highs in goals (6), points (7) and ground balls (5) in the season opener at Marquette.
  • Recorded 24 ground balls, 15 caused turnovers and nine draw controls.

AS A JUNIOR: 

  • Played in the season opener against No. 6 Boston College before being sidelined due to injury.

AS A SOPHOMORE: 

  • Appeared in 18 games and made five starts.
  • Scored 37 goals, including one game winning goal.
  • Collected 16 ground balls, recorded 15 draw controls and caused seven turnovers.

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • Saw action in 14 games and made one start.
  • Scored four goals, including a career-high two goals on February 28 vs. California.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Graduated from Huntington High School in the spring of 2015 … lettered all four years in lacrosse, soccer, and basketball … named to the Under Armour All-American team her senior year … named Under Armour Underclass All-American in her sophomore and junior years … named all-county in her sophomore and senior year and academic all-county her junior in lacrosse … named all-county in basketball her junior and senior years … part of back-to-back undefeated basketball seasons during her junior and senior years … two-time county finalists in basketball … helped her soccer team to two CHSAA division titles … played for Long Island Yellow Jackets club team … captured six tournament championships with the Yellow Jackets … Vice President of the National Honor Society … received the American Legion Citizenship Award … full name is Samantha Kathleen Lynch … born in Manhasset, New York to Kevin and Deborah Lynch … mother, Deborah, captained Columbia’s basketball and volleyball teams … cousin, Jaimie Morrison, played college lacrosse at Notre Dame from 2010-13, earning all-BIG EAST honors … uncle, Anthony Persico, was an All-American lacrosse player at Manhattanville, and he remains on many Division III record lists today … played club lacrosse along side fellow Irish Jenn Casadonte, Samantha Giacolone, and Nikki Ortega.
