AS A JUNIOR: Played in 18 games, starting 17 of those contests … recorded 16 ground balls, two draw controls and seven caused turnovers … scooped up three ground balls in back-to-back wins over Marquette and Villanova … caused two turnovers against No. 13 Ohio State and No. 1 Syracuse … earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Started all 17 games … picked up 23 ground balls to rank fifth on the team … caused 11 turnovers to rank fourth on the team … won a draw … collected multiple ground balls in six games … caused two turnovers against No. 13 Ohio State … had a season-high four ground balls against Duquesne … picked up two ground balls in single-goal wins over Vanderbilt, Louisville and No. 8 Georgetown … scooped up three ground balls against both No. 17 Loyola and No. 19 UConn … also caused two turnovers against the Huskies … won one draw on the year, coming in a win over Boston University … earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN: Played in 14 games as a rookie defender, including two starts to open the year against No. 6 Stanford and Duquesne … missed four games with a foot injury … scooped up a ground ball in games against Duquesne, Louisville and No. 3 Syracuse … caused a turnover in Notre Dame’s season-opening win over Stanford … earned a monogram.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Graduated from Radnor High School in the spring of 2011 … lettered three years in lacrosse and basketball and one year in field hockey … helped lacrosse team to back-to-back-to-back state titles from freshman to junior year … ranked in the top-five nationally as a freshman and junior … team captain as a senior … extracurricular activities included Make A Wish Foundation Club and Service Board … also helped organize Radnor Powder Puff to help raise money for breastcancer.org … born in Bryn Mawr, Pa., to Martin and Colleen Gallagher … has an older brother, Marty, an older sister, Bridget, and a younger sister, Grace … grandfather, Leo Zuckowsky, is a 1954 Notre Dame grad … brother, Marty, was a lacrosse team captain in 2011 at the U.S. Naval Academy … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business and is majoring in information technology management.
