Bio

AS A SENIOR:

  • Did not compete during the 2016-17 season.

AS A JUNIOR:  

  • Helped the 4x400m relay (Stimson, Smith, Groesch) at the Indiana University Relays to a fourth place finish (3:16.09).
  • Placed third in the 60m hurdles at the Alex Wilson Invitational (8.70).
  • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

AS A SOPHOMORE: 

  • Did not compete during the track & field season. 

AS A FRESHMAN: 

  • Placed third in the finals of the 400m hurdles (54.65) at the Hillsdale College Relays. 

PREP AND PERSONAL: 

  • Graduated from Center Grove High School (Greenwood, Indiana) in the spring of 2013.
  • Earned four letters in track & field and three in football.
  • Helped lead the Trojans to a third place finish at the 2013 state meet.
  • As an individual, won the 300m hurdles (37.04) and was runner-up in the 4x400m relay.
  • Finished third in 300m hurdles in 2012.
  • As a sophomore helped Center Grove win the IHSAA State Track Championship and was named all-state in the 4x100m and 300m hurdles.
  • In the fall had 101 carries for 1,069 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Trojans, while being named all-conference, all-state and academic all-state.
  • Active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
  • Full name is Conner Ray Stapleton.
  • Son of Ray and Beth Stapleton.
  • Has one brother.
  • Enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business and majoring in finance.
