AS A SENIOR: Took part in 11 meets between the indoor and outdoor seasons … kicked off the year with a first place finish in the long jump at the Blue and Gold Invitational (6.89m), also finished fourth in the 60-meter dash (7.01) … took third in the long jump (7.08m) and 11th in the 60 meters at the Notre Dame Invitational … placed eighth in the long jump at the Razorback Invitational (7.24m) … came in 11th in the long jump (7.07m) and 32nd in the 60 meters at the Meyo Invitational … snared fourth in both the 60 (6.90) and long jump (7.11m) at the Alex Wilson Invitational … competed in the 60 meters (12th), 200 meters (16th) and long jump (8th, 7.23m) at the ACC Indoor Championships … kicked off the outdoor season at the Bobcat Invitational with a third-place long jump (7.27m) and 11th-place 100 meters (11.03) showing … won the long jump at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (7.29m) … placed fourth in the event at the Jesse Owens Track Classic (7.19m) … took second in the long jump at the GVSU Last Chance Meet (7.19m) … just missed all-ACC honors with a seventh-place finish in the long jump at the ACC Outdoor Championship (7.19m) … earned a monogram.
AS A JUNIOR: Competed in nine meets during the indoor/outdoor track & field season … specialized in long jump, but also occasionally competed in sprints … placed fifth in long jump (7.30m) and was a member of the Irish’s second place 4×100 relay team at the ACC Outdoor Championships … also represented the Irish at the ACC Indoor Championships, notching a seventh place finish in the long jump (7.27m) … began the season in spectacular fashion, earning first place finishes in the 60m dash (6.90), 200m dash (21.88) and long jump (7.37m) at the Blue and Gold Invitational … concluded season with a 20th place finish in the long jump preliminaries (7.00m) at the Drake Relays … earned a monogram.
AS A SOPHOMORE: Competed in 12 meets during the indoor and outdoor season … specialized in the long jump but also participated in the 100m, 200m, 60m and triple jump … competed at the NCAA East Preliminaries in the long jump … placed fourth in the long jump (7.53m) at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships … finished second in both the long jump (7.16m) and the 100m (11.00) at the Polytan Invitational … notched a fourth place finish in the long jump (7.11m) at the Victor Lopez Rice Bayou Classic… competed in the BIG EAST Indoor Championships in the long jump, placing seventh (7.06m) … placed second in the long jump (7.15m) and fourth in the triple jump (12.48m) at the Notre Dame Invitational … brought home a third place finish in the long jump (6.76m) and a fourth place finish in the 60m (7.04) at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open … started off the season at the Blue & Gold Invitational by placing first in the long jump (7.11m) and fifth with the 4x400m relay team (3:28.75) … earned a monogram.
AS A FRESHMAN:Competed in 13 meets during the indoor/outdoor track & field season … was a top finisher in the long jump at Polytan Invitational with a 7.28m score … recorded his best long jump of the year at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships (7.33m), earning him four points and a fifth place finish … ran a season high in the 60m (7.07) at the GVSU Bob Eubanks Open … ran his best 200m at the Meyo Invitational with a 22.33 mark … competed at the USA Junior Track & field Championships in June, finishing ninth in the long jump (7.17m) … earned a monogram.
HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL:Keith Paulin Mesidor graduated from Xavier High School in the spring of 2011 … lettered four times in track & field, specializing in jumps … enjoyed conference and sectional championships as a senior in indoor and outdoor track & field … nationally ranked as a senior … also earned all-city and all-state honors … named team MVP all four years, and was a team captain as a junior and senior … has career bests of 22-11.75 in the long jump, 40-9.25 in the triple jump, 21.7 split in the 4×200-meter relay and 10.95 in the 100- meter dash … was a member of the African American Culture Club, where he was President … volunteered at the Strong Place Day Care Center and at The Caring Community … wrote for the newspaper Lexicon … born to Ketelie and Polynice Mesidor in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti … has a sister, Jenny … enrolled in the College of Science and is majoring in science pre-professional studies with a minor in Africana studies.
