As a Junior: Competed in 11 events for the Irish as a pole vaulter…finished the season competing at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, hitting a mark of 4.5 m…at the Eastern Michigan Invitational hit the mark of 4.6 m…cleared the 4.45 m mark at the 2008 Spartan Invitational…cleared his personal best mark of 4.8 m at the 2008 BIG EAST Indoor Championships…cleared the 4.25 m mark at both the Meyo Invitational and the Indiana Relays…at the Notre Dame Invitational vaulted over the 4.65 m mark…made the 4.35 m height at both the Blue and Gold Invitational and the Notre Dame Blue & Gold Meet.

As a Sophomore: One of a five-deep lineup of Irish vaulters … set career bests both indoors and outdoors in the event … top performance of the indoor campaign was a 4.30m (14-1 ¼) vault at the Purdue Invitational … bettered his previous outdoor best at the Central Collegiate Championship … cleared 4.45m (14-7 ¼) to tie for sixth in the competition … on the cusp of BIG EAST meet advancement and will once again be looking to make the leap in 2008.

As a Freshman: Competed in eight meets for the Irish in his first season…finished his season topping the 4.1 m mark at the Hillsdale Gina Relays…cleared 4.15 m at the Central Collegiates on April 22, 2006…set his high mark of the season at the Indy Relays vaulting the mark of 4.26 m…at the Miami (Ohio) Invitational was able to post a result, clearing the bar set at 3.85 m…earned first vault result of Irish career at the Blue and Gold Invitational, clearing the mark of 3.9 m.

High School and Personal: Was a four-sport athlete for Clay High School, participating in hockey, tennis, track and soccer…named hockey team captain in junior and senior season and won state title with the team in junior season…earned most improved athlete for track in his junior and senior seasons…won the city championship in his junior campaign and was named as an academic all-state selection in his senior year…son of John and Lenda Mahon…has four siblings, Michael, Mary, Brendan and Sean.
