As a junior: Primarily concentrated on the high jump … finished fifth with a jump of 2.07m (6-9 1/2) at the BIG EAST Indoor Championship … tied for fourth at the Arizona State Invitational with a jump of 2.05m (6-8 3/4) … finished in a tie for ninth at the Mike Poehlein Invitational, clearing 2.02m (6-7 1/2) … won the Ole Miss Invitational with a jump of 2.05m (6-8 ?3/4) … finished sixth at the Mt. SAC Relays, clearing 2.10m (6-10 3/4) … tied for fourth at the VS Athletics Beach Invitational with a jump of 2.00m (6-6 3/4) … also finished 23rd with a long jump of 6.28m (20-7 1/4) … took first in the high jump at the Hillsdale Relays, clearing the bar at 2.10m (6-10 3/4) … earned his second all-BIG EAST outdoor citation after finishing second with a high jump of 2.07m (6-9 1/2), matching the best-ever showing by a Notre Dame high jumper at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship … closed out the season with a 16th-place finish at the Georgia Tech Invitational, clearing 2.00m (6-6 3/4)

AS A SOPHOMORE: Capped a strong sophomore season with a trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships … top leap of the indoor season was a 2.01m (6-7) effort at the Meyo Invitational … finished in a tie for sixth at the BIG EAST indoor meet, helping the Notre Dame men win the team title … hit his stride during the outdoor slate … tied for third in the high jump at the Arizona State Invitational, clearing 2.05m (6-8 3/4) equaled his career best and earned his second consecutive berth in the NCAA Mideast Regionals with a third-place, 2.10m (6-10 3/4) jump at the Mt. SAC Relays … tied for fifth at the outdoor BIG EAST Championship (1.99m, 6-6 1/4) … had a career day at the NCAA Mideast Regionals … tied for fourth at 2.11m (6-11), a career best, to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships … was the first male Irish high jumper to qualify for the national outdoor meet since Ed Broderick in 1968 … his regional finish earned him all-Mideast Region honors … took 17th at the NCAA Championships.

AS A FRESHMAN: Stepped onto the Irish squad and immediately became the team[apos]s top threat in the high jump … top performance of the indoor season came early on at the Blue and Gold Invitational where he leaped 2.06m (6-9) to book a place in the BIG EAST Indoor Championship … also won high jump competitions at the Purdue Invitational and Notre Dame Opener … earned all-BIG EAST honors by finishing in a tie for third at the league competition, jumping 2.02m (6-7 1/2) … jumped 2.01m (6-7) at the Alex Wilson Invitational … in the outdoor season, earned a runner-up finish at the Cal Poly Invitational (2.03m, 6-8) … set a career best at the Hillsdale Gina Relays, jumping 2.10m (6-10 3/4) to finish second at the meet and earn a berth into the NCAA Mideast Regionals … took seventh at the BIG EAST outdoor meet … finished a strong eighth at the Mideast Regionals, jumping 2.06m (6-9) to cap a solid freshman year.

HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Four-year letter winner in track and field at Lincoln-Way East High School … also earned three letters as a defensive back on the football team … All-American in the high jump during his senior season and ranked second in the nation with a leap of 2.16m (7-1) … won high jump titles at the 2004 Illinois Prep Top Times indoor state meet and the Illinois High School outdoor state meet … top-ranked Illinois high jumper for the duration of the 2005 season … 2003 USATF national champion in the intermediate boys high jump … three-time conference and 2005 sectional high jump champion … also a three-time team captain and MVP on Lincoln-Way East[apos]s club volleyball team that placed ninth at nationals in 2003 … once jumped to block a field goal attempt and returned it for an 87-yard touchdown … inducted into Lincoln-Way East[apos]s Hall of Fame in 2005 … member of National Honor Society, student council, and Mu Alpha Theta (math society) at Lincoln-Way East … vice president of his sophomore, junior and senior classes … youngest of two children … born Feb. 14, 1987 in Palos Heights, Ill. … enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.
