Bio

AS A SOPHOMORE:

  • Split the season with a 14-14 record in singles, playing primarily at No. 2 singles but saw stints at No. 1 and No. 3 as well.
  • Defeated No. 37 Victor Pham (6-4, 6-4) at the ITA Indoor Nationals.
  • Beat 54th-ranked Sam Riffice of Florida at the UVA Masters tournament in the fall (2-6, 7-5, 6-4)
  • He and partner Tristan McCormick peaked in the rankings at ninth following their strong start to the season
  • Following a 12-5 record, the two earned bids to the NCAA Individual Tournament
  • With McCormick, tallied wins over No. 14, No. 37 and No. 53 doubles teams
  • Went 17-8 overall in doubles and undefeated (4-0) in conference matches
  • He and partner Axel Nefve defeated No. 63 Borna/Gadjiev of Wake Forest to take the doubles point in the ACC Quarterfinal match
  • Was named to the All-ACC Third Team

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • Made a strong debut for the Irish, debuting at No. 5 singles before working into the No. 2 spot at the end of the season
  • Tallied a 24-16 mark in singles play (20-9 duals) and a 24-15 doubles record (16-12 dual)
  • Defeated No. 52-ranked John Mee of Texas (6-2, 6-2) on January 27, 2018.
  • Took down No. 97-ranked Adria Soriano of Miami (6-2, 6-4) and No. 20 ranked Guy Iradukuna of Florida State (6-3, 7-6) in back-to-back matches on April 13 and April 15.
  • Partnered with Grayson Broadus at No. 2 doubles and went 8-6 and with Matt Gamble as well, going 13-8 at the Nos. 2-3 doubles spots.
  • Earned All-ACC Third Team honors
