AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2023)

  • Helped lead Notre Dame to its first national title in program history
  • Featured in a number of roles for the Irish, playing midfield, SSDM, faceoff wing and on man-down
  • Started all 16 games as a midfielder in his final season in South Bend
  • Finished the season with 21 points off 14 goals and seven assists
  • Also posted double-digit ground balls (23) and caused turnovers (11) on the year
  • Ranked sixth on the team in points, seventh in goals and tied for fifth in assists
  • Scored two goals, including a #SCTop10 goal from beyond midfield, in the NCAA national title win over No. 1 Duke in his hometown of Philadelphia to end his career

AS A SENIOR (2022)

  • Played in all 12 games, splitting time between SSDM and attacking midfield

  • Recorded two goals and two assists in wins over Marquette and Duke

AS A JUNIOR (2021)

  • Started all 12 games for the Irish as a midfielder during his junior campaign
  • Finished the season with 23 points off 14 goals and nine assists
  • His nine assists ranked fourth on the team for the season
  • Recorded the first three hat tricks of his career
  • Scored a career-high four goals in the win over Bellarmine (3/6)
  • Posted a career-high five points (3G, 2A) in the win over No. 9/8 Syracuse (5/1)

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020 – Season Cancelled After Five Games Due to COVID-19)

  • Started all five games for the Irish in his sophomore year at the midfield position.
  • Finished the shortened season with six goals and two assists, totaling eight points.
  • Scored two goals in both of the wins over Cleveland State (2/17) and No. 17 Richmond (2/23).

AS A FRESHMAN (2019)

  • Started all 16 games for the Irish in his debut season in the midfield.
  • Totaled 19 points off nine goals and 10 assists.
  • One of four Irish players with double-digit assists on the season.
  • Scooped up 11 ground balls.

PREP & PERSONAL

  • Played on the New England Under Armour All-American Team.
  • Two-time All-Southeastern Pennsylvania honoree.
  • Three-time All-Inter-AC League selection.
  • Named a team captain during senior season at Malvern Prep.
  • Three-sport athlete at Malvern Prep, lettering in lacrosse, football and basketball.

  • Son of Joseph and Jennifer McCahon. Father, Joseph, played basketball at Salisbury University and mother, Jennifer, played field hockey at Philadelphia University.
  • Has a brother (Joe) and two sisters (Anna and Caroline). Anna plays soccer at Yale.
