Was one of the top faceoff men in the country during his stellar career … four-time monogram winner … played in 54 games during his Notre Dame career … went 624 of 1,036 (.602) in faceoffs during his Irish tenure … tallied eight points on five goals and three assists to go along with 239 ground balls … athletic player who contributed right away as a freshman … battled injuries during portions of his career … … was selected in the fifth round of the 2008 Major League Lacrosse Draft by the Los Angeles Riptide with the 49th pick overall … his brother, Steve, graduated from Notre Dame in 2004 after a distinguished career as a midfielder for the Irish, including being a part of the [apos]01 squad that reached the NCAA semifinals.
