AS A SENIOR: Earned a monogram … served as one of the team[apos]s tri-captains … Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley Rockne Student-Athlete Award Winner … competed in two events for the Irish as an individual … recorded a 79.25 stroke average … tied for 69th at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic (75-75-84-234).

AS A JUNIOR: Team co-captain … competed in four events, including first two career starts … registered 78.00 stroke average in 12 rounds, with five of six rounds on the travel squad counting for team score … made season debut as individual competitor at John Dallio Memorial, tying for 68th place at 19-over par 235 (76-78-81) … saw time with ‘B’ team at Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, sharing 62nd place at 22-over par 232 (73-79-80); opening-round 73 was season-low and second-best of career … got first starting assignment at UNCG Bridgestone Collegiate Championship and ended up in 54th-place tie with season-low 15-over par 231 (76-74-81) … lone spring action came in starting role at Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, where he tied for 56th place at 25-over par 238 (82-78-78).SUMMER 2008: Tied for 29th (with classmate Carl Santos-Ocampo among others) at Spirit of America Classic in Decatur, Ala. AS A SOPHOMORE: Saw action in four tournaments, playing twice in ‘B’ team events and twice as an individual participant … carded a 76.64 stroke average in 11 rounds … opened season in strong fashion at the Rutgers Invitational (‘B’ tournament), posting a career-best tie for 11th place and shooting a seven-over par 220 (70-74-76) to set new personal-best scores for a single round and a 54-hole tournament … played as an individual at the Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, coming home in a tie for 56th place at 21-over par 231 (76-80-75) … began spring season with 51st-place showing at the Charleston Southern Spring Kickoff (‘B’ team event) with 30-over par 243 (79-81-83) … wrapped up second season under the Golden Dome with tie for 31st place (as an individual) at the Irish Invitational, firing six-over par 146 (72-74).

AS A FRESHMAN: Participated in three tournaments, two with Irish ‘B’ team and once as an individual competitor … posted 84.63 stroke average for eight rounds … made college debut at John Dallio Memorial, finishing in 67th-place tie at 23-over par 239 (84-78-77); final-round 77 and tournament score of 239 both were season bests … played as individual at inaugural Fighting Irish Gridiron Golf Classic, placing 67th (103-86-89=278, +68) … tied for 35th place at The Tillinghast with 19-over par 160 (80-80); tournament finish was best of the season.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Brought wealth of junior experience, having lived in both Florida and New York through his sophomore year of high school before returning to his native Brazil to complete his prep education … played in 29 junior tournaments during final five prep campaigns, including 10 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) events, posting 19 top-10 finishes and registering a 75.31 stroke average in that span … collected three junior titles and two runner-up placements … won the Optimist International Junior Championship and Florida Junior Golf Association (FJGA) Easter Classic at age 13 in 2001 … returned to winners[apos] circle in September 2002 when he hoisted the hardware at the Junior Champions Tour – Legends at Raptor Bay event … carded 76.20 stroke average on AJGA circuit and placed in the top 20 on five occasions, most notably tying for sixth place in the Marsh Junior at Apawamis in July 2004 … enjoyed much success in two years of high school competition in the United States … as freshman at Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) High School, qualified individually for Florida state high school championship … as sophomore at Bronxville (N.Y.)
