Bio

Matt Mitchell is in his second year in 2016 with the Notre Dame football program and first as an offensive graduate assistant.

Mitchell served as an offensive intern for the Irish in 2015, primarily working with the quarterbacks. He broke down self-scout and opponent-scout film each week. Mitchell was involved in daily game planning for each opponent. He was responsible for offensive quality control — creating weekly inventories of each pass and run concept.

Mitchell played wide receiver at Wheaton (IL) College (2010- 14). A two-year starter, Mitchell helped Wheaton earn two NCAA Division III playoff berths (2010, 2014) and capture a pair of College Conference Of Illinois And Wisconsin titles (2012, 2014). In fact, the Thunder posted a combined 45-9 record over his collegiate career. Mitchell led the Thunder in both receptions (39) and receiving yards (399) as a junior in 2013.

Mitchell graduated from Wheaton College in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.

A native of Los Altos, California, Mitchell is married to the former Megan Campbell.
