HONORS AND AWARDS:

  • 2016 ACC Championship Women’s Foil Fourth Place

AS A SENIOR:

  • Did not compete for the Irish in 2017-18

AS A JUNIOR:

  • Went 19-5 during the season, competing at the Elite Invite (3-2), DeCicco Duals (12-1) and Northwestern Invitational (4-2)
  • Earned a monogram

AS A SOPHOMORE:

  • Posted a 41-2 (.953) regular-season record, the 11th-best single-season win percentage in program history (all weapons), and seventh-best single-season foil win percentage  
  • Posted a fourth-place finish at the ACC women’s foil championship behind three Irish teammates  
  • Went a perfect 9-0 during team competition at ACCs to help the Irish claim their second straight conference title
  • Began the season with a fifth-place finish at the Penn State Open  
  • Went 2-0 at the Penn Elite Invitational  
  • Turned in a 17-1 record at the DeCicco Duals
  • Went 13-1 at the Northwestern Duals  
  • Earned a monogram.

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • Competed sparingly for the Irish, garnering a 21-3 record her first season  
  • Won two bouts at the Ohio State Elite Cup  
  • Went 0-1 and 3-2 at St. John’s and NYU Invitationals  
  • Had best record of any women’s foilist at DeCicco Duals, posting a perfect 16-0 record  

PREP AND PERSONAL:

  • Born in Hangzhou, China, to parents Richard and Claudina Loh  
  • Has traversed the world, living in multiple places and competing in numerous events with the Toronto Fencing Club in Toronto, Ontario  
  • As a freshman took silver at the Canadian National Championships and bronze at the Canada Selection Cup
  • Twice was named a Quest for Gold recipient in scholarship competition  
  • As a sophomore competed at Pan-American Championships and Cadet World Championships
  • In junior season, placed in top 32 in Division I North American Cup (NAC)  
  • competed in Canadian Summer Games and Ontario Summer games
  • Skipped her senior year and graduated early after having attended both The Woodlands (Texas) and East Chapel Hill (North Carolina)  
  • Served as an assistant coach for high school team that won North Carolina State Championships
  • Volunteered with the Caring is Sharing Center and Habitat for Humanity  
  • Has one sister, Chelsea  
  • Enrolled in the College of Science, majoring in biochemistry
