AS A SENIOR: Went 18-4 on the season … opened the year at the Penn State Open, finishing in 42nd place … went 14-3 over two days at the DeCicco Duals … wrapped up the year with a 4-1 showing at the Northwestern Duals … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

AS A JUNIOR: A solid contributor for the Irish men’s epee squad throughout his junior campaign, amassed 17-15 season record competing at every tournament throughout the year … at Ohio State Elite Cup, finished with a 5-3 record … went on to ost 2-4 mark and 1-3 record at St. John’s and NYU Invitationals respectively … went undefeated at Northwestern Duals and finished the regular season 3-1 at DeCicco Duals … competed at ACC Championship, etching a 4-5 record to help the men’s tea win the team title … in Columbus, Ohio, earned a 5-1 victory over Pennsylvania’s R.J. Shipp … bested North Carolina’s M. Gopman-Slonim, 5-2 … out-dueled Princeton’s Luke Politi 5-2 … suffered first loss of the tournament in overtime to Penn State’s Oskar Tang, 5-4, but recouped to beat his Nittany Lion teammate Farzaan Karimi 5-2 … finished with a 5-1 loss to Ohio State’s Matt Bogard … at St. John’s bested Tang 5-3, but lost 5-2 to Yasser Mahmoud and 5-1 to Conor Shepard of Penn State … out-touched St. John’s Trevor Shepard, 5-2, but was unable to beat Yevgenyi Karyuchenko (5-4) or Cooper Schumacher (5-2) … narrowly lost to Yale’s Dillon Lew, 5-4 to start the NYU Invite … against St. John’s, lost 4-3 in overtime to Karyuchenko … finished with a 1-1 mark against NYU, beating Malcolm Lewis 5-3 but losing to John Cramerus, 5-3 … faced Cal Tech at Northwestern Duals, beating Ethan Lo 5-2, S. Strumwasser 5-4 and Abhijit Puranam 5-0 … at DeCicco Duals, lost 5-2 to Wayne State’s Steven Kudla, but rebounded to beat Michael Haas 5-3 … out-touched Wisconsin’s Brandon Grill, 5-4 … at ACC Championship, earned an 8-7 record individually, finishing in sixth place … earned a monogram.

AS A SOPHOMORE: Went undefeated in second season with the Irish, logging 14-0 record … improved career mark to 21-3 … did not compete at NYU or St. John’s Invitationals … began season with 7-0 record at the Northwestern Duals, including two, 3-0 sweeps versus Lawrence and Cal Tech … capped regular season with 7-0 log at DeCicco Duals … defeated Cleveland State’s Paul Duchow 5-0 and Logan Eskew 5-2 … bested Wayne State’s Merlin Chappuis 5-2 and Michael Hass 5-1 … blanked Detroit’s Aaron Dittel 5-0 and out-dueled Titan teammates Jacob Theut, 5-3, and Brock Bendes, 5-1.

AS A FRESHMAN: Earned 7-4 record in first season with the Irish … at Northwestern Duals, logged 4-2 record … first career win came against Cal Tech’s Omer Subasi, 5-1 … bested remaining Beaver bouters Taylor Strumwasser 3-2 and Stanford Schor 5-2 … struggled with UC-San Diego opponents but won 5-1 against North Carolina’s Parker Williams … at Notre Dame Duals, notched 3-1 mark … out-touched Cleveland State’s Paul Duchun 5-3 and Salih Yasun, 4-3 before being bested by Viking counterpart Levin Young, 5-3 … won against Lawrence’s Mike Friend, 5-0 after narrowly losing to Moses Zorkin-Scott 5-4.

PREP & PERSONAL: Attended Highland … three-time all-academic first team selection … ranked 10th in points qualifying for the 2012 Division IA National Championship … finished in the top-25 in the cadet epee class at the 2012 Junior Olympic Fencing Championships and the 2011 USA Fencing Summer Nationals … 2011 Cadet Pacific Coast champion … member of the California Scholarship Foundation and the College Club … son of Robert and Kari Anne Poremski … has one sister, Raychel … father, Robert, was a cyclist and ran cross country at the Air Force Academy … enrolled in Mendoza College of Business, double-majoring in marketing and psychology.
