AS A GRADUATE STUDENT:

  • Crossed the finish line at 30:00.6 at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Regional
  • Finished 5th at the ACC Cross Country Championships with a time of 23:38.3

AS A SENIOR:

  • Qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 1,500m by placing third in the US Olympic Trials final with a time of 3:36.19.
  • Broke the NCAA record in the 1,500m with a time of 3:34.68 in the prelims of the ACC Championships on May 13, 2021 at the Paul Derr Track in Raleigh, North Carolina on a solo run.
  • Hit the Olympic Standard time (3:35.00) with his record-breaking performance.
  • Also set the ACC, ACC Championship, facility and Notre Dame records for the 1,500m with the time of 3:34.68.
  • Finished the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships as runner-up in the 1,500m, finishing in 3:35.60, the seventh fastest time recorded in NCAA history for the event.
  • Defended his ACC title in the 1,500m with a mark of 3:40.68 on May 15.
  • Earned All-America honors in cross country by finishing 23rd at the NCAA Championships on March 15 with a time of 30:26.6.
  • Helped the Notre Dame men’s cross country team earn runner-up status at the NCAA Championships on March 15, the program’s best finish since also taking second in 1945.
  • Became the first Notre Dame men’s runner to win the ACC Cross Country individual title on Oct. 30 with a time of 23:03.6.
  • Helped lead the Irish men’s team to its second ACC title in three seasons.
  • Won the 1,500m at the Oregon Twilight in a loaded field in a photo finish with a time of 3:35.96.

AS A JUNIOR:

  • Won the ACC title in the mile for the second year in a row with a time of 3:55.62, setting a personal record, meet record, Loftus track record and school record for the event. The previous meet record stood since 1974 and the previous facility record was set in 1995. His time ranked him fourth in the country for the 2020 season in the event
  • Ranked second in the country in the DMR and fifth in the 3000m at the end of the season and qualified to compete in both events at the NCAA Indoor Championships
  • Anchored the DMR team (9:43.55) to an ACC title at the ACC Indoor Championships
  • Anchored the DMR at the Alex Wilson Invitational as the Irish team won the race in a photo finish with a time of 9:25.80, just .04 seconds ahead of Wisconsin. The time of 9:25.80 was not only the program, track and ACC record but also the second fastest time ever recorded in NCAA indoor track and field history for the event. Following the performance, the Irish DMR team was named ACC Track Performers of the Week
  • Set the Notre Dame program record in the 3000m with a time of 7:46.71 to win the event at the Meyo Invitational 
  • Named to the 2020 Men’s All-ACC Academic Team

AS A SOPHOMORE:

  • Named the ACC Track Performer of the Year after claiming two national titles and a pair of conference championships between indoor and outdoor track season
  • Won the men’s 1,500m national championship title by 0.003 seconds with a time of 3:41.39 at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships
  • Anchored the DMR to a national championship (9:31.55) at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, making up a seven-second deficit in the mile leg and pulling away in the final 15 meters to claim the title
  • Earned First Team All-America in both the outdoor 1,500 meters and the indoor DMR 
  • Earned his 1,500 meters spot at the outdoor championship following his win at the East Region Prelims in 3:41.86.
  • Claimed the ACC outdoor title in the 1,500m, crossing the line in 3:41.34.
  • Double champion in the mile (3:57.93) the DMR (9:38.85) at the ACC Indoor Championships.
  • Set a PR in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:38.32 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
  • Established an outdoor PR in the 800 meters (1:48.29) while claiming an event win at the Stanford Invitational
  • DMR raced to an event victory (9:26.10) representing Notre Dame at the Alex Wilson Invitational
  • Set a PR in the 3000-meter run with a time of 7:57.55 at the Iowa State Classic
  • First-place finisher in the mile (4:01.10) at the Meyo Invitational
  • Placed third (31:11.80) at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships (10K)
  • Claimed All-ACC accolades after finishing third (23:48.80) at the ACC Cross Country Championships
  • Established a 5K course PR of 24:11.10 at the Joe Piane Invitational
  • Finished fourth (25:02.40) at the National Catholic Invitational (5K)

AS A FRESHMAN:

  • All-America performer with the runner-up DMR (9:31.22) at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships
  • Earned All-ACC Second-Team accolades running alongside the runner-up Irish DMR entry (9:40.14) at the ACC Indoor Championships
  • Named to the All-ACC First Team with a third-place finish in the 1,500-meter run (3:46.86) at the ACC Outdoor Championships
  • Claimed the race win in the indoor mile with a time of 4:02.44 at the Meyo Invitational
  • Opened the indoor season with an event win in the 3,000-meter run (8:16.15) at the Notre Dame Invitational
  • Earned all-region recognition after posting 19th (31:24.90) at the NCAA Division I Great Lakes Region Cross Country Championships
  • Competed at the ACC Cross Country Championships (8K) (24:03.70)
  • Runner-up (25:00.80) at the National Catholic Invitational (5K)

PREP AND PERSONAL:

  • Graduated from Dupont Manual High School in 2017
  • Won the Kentucky Cross Country State Championship
  • Placed first in the 800m, 1,600m, and 3,200m at the Kentucky Class AAA Track and Field Championships his senior year
