AS A GRADUATE STUDENT (2021 – Notre Dame)

  • Played in 11 games and made seven starts on the year.
  • Finished with four hits, one run, one home run, 6 RBI and slashed .174/.174/.304.
  • In his first at-bat with the Irish, he hit his first career grand slam in the 5-4 win over No. 16 Wake Forest (2/27~2).
  • Brait graduated with a master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration in May.

AS A SENIOR (2020 – FGCU)

Preseason All-ASUN selection

  • Became the first player in program history to be named to the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List
  • Threw out a pair of runners from behind the dish, pushing him up to 26 runners caught stealing through his career
  • That effort ranks fourth all-time in the FGCU record book
  • Finished the season with a .993 career fielding percentage, which checks in at eighth all-time in the Eagle records
  • Appeared in all but one game during his senior campaign, starting every contest that he played in
  • Led the team with a total of six multi-hit games
  • Accounted for both the tying and winning runs during the game against Georgetown (March 10)
  • Capped off the year slashing .258/.323/.338 with four doubles and five RBI.

  • Second Team All-Conference selection after leading the league with 76 hits
  • One of two players that started all 55 games for the Eagles, primarily doing so behind the dish
  • Became the first player in FGCU history to have a perfect single-season stolen base percentage with more than eight attempts (10-10)
  • Tied for 10th on the FGCU single-season list after catching 11 runners stealing base
  • Led the team with 23 multi-hit games and finished nine multi-RBI games 
  • Owned the team’s longest hitting streak (12 games) and at one point had a streak of reaching base safely in 17 consecutive games
  • Scored a single-game high four runs during the win over Bethune-Cookman (Feb. 16)
  • Pushed the tying run across and layer came around as the final run to cap off the largest comeback in school history in the 10-9 victory over Lipscomb (April 6)
  • Scored a team-high 48 runs
  • His season fielding percentage (.998) is the eighth-highest in a single season in FGCU history
  • Finished the season slashing .321/.414/.390 with eight doubles, one triple and four home runs
  • Added 30 RBIs and was credited with 98 total bases.

  • First Team All-Conference selection after leading the Eagles with a .335 average
  • Appeared in 48 games with 46 starts, appearing in the outfield and behind the plate
  • Slashed .335/.404/.467 in his second season
  • Posted multi-hit games in five of the first six games of the season and multi-RBI games in four of the first seven games
  • Hit a walk-off single in the first game of the year against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 16), the first of three walk-offs to open the season
  • Hit his first home run of the year in the finale against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 18)
  • During the first two weeks of the season, he tied his career-high with three RBI in three games (vs. Eastern Michigan Feb. 16; vs. Eastern Michigan Feb. 17; vs. ETSU Feb. 25)
  • Posted a career-high and tied a single-game FGCU record with four hits at Jackson State (March 31)
  • Later matched his career-high with three RBI on two hits against USC Upstate (April 21)
  • Finished the season with hits in eight of the final nine games, including four multi-hit games
  • Finished the season with 61 hits, five doubles, two triples, five homes runs, and 26 RBI
  • Also caught nine of the 28 runners attempting to steal

  • Turned in four multi-hit efforts in his first seven games and was hitting .407
  • Drove in the winning run on a eighth inning RBI single at Miami (Apr. 12) as FGCU earned its first season series win against the Hurricanes in program history

  • Went 2-for-3 with a run and RBI as FGCU forced a winner-take-all ASUN Championship vs. Jacksonville (May 27)
