AT NOTRE DAME (2011-PRESENT):  Two-year monogram winner … fifth-year player … had played in one career game before breakout junior campaign … displays plus arm and ability to block … solid catch and throw player … showed improvement at the plate as a senior … turned himself into a very solid Division I player … has terrific leadership skills and is a co-captain with senior Mac Hudgins … tough, hard-nosed player … similar in terms of work ethic, desire to succeed and competitiveness to older brother, Cole, who graduated in 2011 as a four-year monogram winner … sported a 3.329 GPA heading into the 2015 spring semester … earned Dean’s List honors during the spring 2014 semester.

SENIOR SEASON (2014): Showed great improvement in all aspects of the game during second year as a starter … served as co-captain with teammate Sean Fitzgerald … started 31 games at catcher, while appearing in 41 … batted .248 (41 points higher than 2013) with 27 hits, 15 RBI and 13 runs scored … also had four doubles, a triple, a homer, seven walks, two sacrifice flies and four sacrifice bunts … recorded 183 putouts and just two errors for an impressive .990 fielding percentage behind the dish … threw out 59% of the base runners who attempted to steal … had five multi-hit games, including three three-hit games … went 3-for-4 in the season opener against No. 24 Florida Atlantic (Feb. 15) with one double, one RBI and a run scored … recorded three hits and two RBI against Youngstown State (March 1) … notched first career homer at Appalachian State (March 11), blasting a two-run shot in the 10th inning … recorded three RBI in a three-hit, two-run performance against Valparaiso (April 1) … lone triple on season came against the Crusaders in that same game … went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored against Northeastern (April 25) … had a pair of hits against Clemson (May 9) … notched a hit, RBI and run scored against Pittsburgh (May 15) … earned Dean’s List honors during the spring semester … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll … received a monogram.
