AT NOTRE DAME: One-time monogram winner that enters his senior season with a 5.19 career ERA and 0-0 record, plus four strikeouts, five walks and nine hits allowed (.300 opponent batting average) in six appearances (no starts) and 8.2 innings … walk-on addition who will continue to add depth to 2010 pitching staff … a situational reliever with a good breaking ball … worked extremely hard and significantly improved his conditioning … could provide staff with a huge boost.

JUNIOR SEASON (2010): Made six appearances out of the Irish bullpen … went 0-0 with a 5.19 ERA … allowed nine hits in 8.2 innings of work as opponents batted .300 against him … struck out four and walked five … Notre Dame posted an 0-6 record when Spizzirri pitched … did not allow a run in four of six appearances… inherited 12 base runners upon entering the game and allowed seven to score … retired four of the six first batters he faced … struck out the only batter he faced in first career appearance on Mar. 10 at UTPA … tossed a scoreless inning of relief versus Pacific on Mar. 12 … worked a scoreless inning of relief against UIC on Mar. 24 … tossed 2.0 hitless and scoreless innings of relief against Central Michigan on May 12.
