No. 11 Irish Tennis Falls to No. 15 Vanderbilt

MADISON, Wis. – The University of Notre Dame women’s tennis teamranked No. 11 in the country, dropped its final match of the USTA/ITAWomen’s National Indoor Championship with a 5-0 loss to No. 15Vanderbilt. Notre Dame finishes 1-2 in the tournament, defeatingAlabama and losing to Pepperdine.

Vanderbilt won the doubles pointand then clinched the victory with wins at Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 5. TheIrish drop to 5-3 on the year, while Vanderbilt improves to 8-3.
