Notre Dame Women’s Swimming beats Hawaii 133-72

HONOLULU, Hawaii – Notre Dame’s women’s swimming and diving team defeated Hawaii 133-72 in dual meet action on Monday, December 30 in Honolulu. With the win, the Irish improve their dual-meet record to 4-1. Notre Dame swims in the Rainbow Invitational Jan. 2-3 in Honolulu.

Linda Gallo led the Irish as she claimed three events, winning the 200, 500 and 1000 freestyle races. Shannon Suddarth was a double winner for Notre Dame as she captured the 200 individual medley and the 200 breaststroke. Leticia Herrera, Erin Brooks and Courtney South were other winners for the Irish.

Notre Dame opens its 1997 home schedule against Bowling Green on Fri., Jan. 17. at 5:00 p.m.
