Notre Dame Divers Compete at NCAA Zone C Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — On the first of three days ofcompetition at the NCAA zone C diving championships at theUniversity of Minnesota, a trio of freshmen represented NotreDame. Herb Huesman placed 21st in the men’s one-metercompetition while Rhiana Saunders was 23rd and Gina Ketelhohnwas 33rd in the women’s three-meter competition.

Huesman finished with a score of 399.5 and will compete in thethree-meter competition on Saturday. Indiana’s Pete Collier wonthe men’s one meter with a score of 539.4. Saunders recorded ascore of 368.20 while Ketelhohn posted a score of 325.05. Cincinnati’s Angie Trostel won the women’s three meter with ascore of 491.35. The women’s one-meter competition will takeplace on Saturday with both platform portions of the divingchampionships to be held on Sunday.
