No. 11 Notre Dame Keeps Rolling

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame men’s tennis team kept its good play going, posting a 5-2 win over Purdue on Saturday. Notre Dame improved to 15-4 on the season and is ranked No. 11 in the country. Purdue falls to 10-4 on the season.

Notre Dame freshman Ryan Sachire, ranked No. 47 in the country, was a winner at No. 1 singles over Jamie Gordon by a 7-5, 6-4 score. The Irish also picked up wins in singles from Jakub Pietrowski at No. 2, Brian Patterson at No. 4 and Marco Magnano at No. 6.

The Irish won the doubles point by sweeping all three doubles matches.
