Notre Dame Cruises to Third Straight Win
NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Pat Garrity had game-highs of 27points and 13 rebounds to lead Notre Dame to a 90-76 win overWest Virginia tonight before a crowd of 9,007 at the Joyce Center.
The victory was the third straight win for the Irish, who improvedto 12-9 overall and 6-7 in the Big East. West Virginia fell to14-7, 8-6.
Admore White added 17 points, eight rebounds and five assistsfor the Irish. The senior guard was 4-for-4 from three-pointrange as Notre Dame shot 50 percent (8-for-16) from behind thethree-point stripe.
Pete Miller and Derek Manner both added 11 points, while AntoniWyche chipped in with 10.
Seldon Jefferson paced West Virginia with 22 points. AdrianPledger and Jarrod West both added 14 points apiece, while Jonesfinished with 10.
Notre Dame shot 57 percent from the floor in the game and held a42-30 lead at halftime. The Irish outrebounded West Virginia, 43-35.
