23rd-ranked Boston College Handles Notre Dame, 73-61

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Antonio Granger scored 21 points and James “Scoonie” Penn added20 as 23rd-ranked Boston College continued its best Big EastConference start ever with a 73-61 victory over Notre Dame.

The Eagles (10-2) raced to a 48-29 halftime lead and cruisedhome as they improved to 5-1 in the Big East. They had neverwon more than four of their first six league games.

Pat Garrity scored 18 points and Gary Bell added 11 for NotreDame (7-6, 1-4 Big East), which has lost three straight games.The Fighting Irish are 5-7 all-time against BC.
