The 14th-ranked University of Notre Dame softball team (13-1) swept a doubleheader from #24 Cal State Northridge on Saturday, March 11, in Northridge, Calif.

The Irish won the first game 5-1 behind a two-for-two performance from Danielle Klayman and a complete-game three-hitter from starting pitcher Jen Sharron. Sharron is now 7-0 on the season.

Notre Dame jumped to a 7-0 lead in game two before surrendering three runs in the bottom of the seventh and eventually winning 7-3.

Junior catcher Jarrah Myers had two homeruns in the second game, a three-run shot down the leftfield line and a two-run round-tripper to right centerfield.

Starting pitcher Kristin Schmidt earned her sixth victory of the season, pitching 7 1/3 shutout innings.
