The University of Notre Dame softball team’s first-ever visit to Evanston, Ill., to face Northwestern has been rained out. The Irish and Wildcats tried to get a game in, but strong rain and wind forced the cancellation of the contest with Notre Dame up 3-1 in the third inning.
A make up date has not yet been announced and the stats from Tuesday’s game will not count.
The Irish will return to Chicago to take on UIC Thursday, April 22, at 6 p.m.
