The University of Notre Dame softball team has announced the cancellation of its game with Bowling Green on Wednesday, May 2. Originally planned for a doubleheader on April 11, Wednesday’s meeting was going to be the make up date.

Bowling Green was forced to cancel due to travel arrangements and the conclusion of its regular season conference competition.

The Irish will face Villanova in Philadelphia, Pa., at 12 p.m., on Friday, May 4, and Rutgers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, to wrap up the regular season schedule.

Notre Dame is currently 47-3, 16-0 in BIG EAST competition, ranked ninth in the nation and boast a 29-game win streak.
