“Power Hour: Training for More Power in Your Pitch” will open the clinic from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Loftus Sports Center. The unique training session will take pitchers through an hour and a half of intense drill work focusing on improving power and endurance. The instructional period will combine a mixture of lecture, drills and training, and pitchers will need a parent to catch for drills at the end of the session.

“Hit, Like the Irish” is scheduled to follow from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the indoor batting cages on the grounds of Notre Dame’s Frank Eck Baseball Stadium. Each participant will be matched with an Irish hitter and go through all drills together, having their swing analyzed by their Notre Dame mentor. Two mentees will be paired with an Irish player for the duration of the clinic. The training session will combine drills and training with mentorship and instruction.

Players age eight and up are welcome to register for $75.00 per player, and this portion of the clinic is strictly limited to 32 players.

The clinic will close with the all skills “Becoming Irish” session, to be held from 2:30-5:30 p.m. in the Loftus Sports Center. The three-hour instructional period will cover all aspects of being a Notre Dame softball player on the field, including the typical Irish practice day that features throwing, defense, offense and baserunning.
