On Notre Dame…
“Traditionally, they are a great team. They are big and strong, and Jacqueline Batteast is a great player in my opinion. [Megan] Duffy is a great, heady point guard. They play with a big, strong lineup. We are going to have to pay attention to rebounding and make sure we get back in transition.”

On SMS’ game plan against the Fighting Irish…
“We are going to go out and do what we do best and play our game. We like to run, and we love up-tempo games, so we are going to do what we have done to get us here. Defensively, we want to do the same thing,”

On being a 12-seed…
“Now that we are here, it doesn’t matter what number is behind anybody. There are two teams out on the floor, and the team that plays the hardest and wants it the most, is going to be successful.”

On predetermined home sites in the NCAA Tournament…
“If we had the opportunity to have it at our place, I’d love to have it. The teams that are home have the greatest advantage. Whatever team is on their home floor for the first round has a huge advantage. I would like to see it all evened out.”

On playing on the road…
“This year’s team is a lot more experienced in the whole travel situation. Everything was new to last year’s team. This year’s team has a lot more experience, and the leaders on this team have done a good job preparing everybody for away games. We’ve lost three times on the road, and we’ve learned from each experience that we’ve had.”
