SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame swimming and diving teams were well represented with six athletes named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the conference announced on Thursday.
Josh Bottelberghe, Tyler Christianson and Cason Wilburn were named to the men’s All-ACC Academic Team while Calie Brady, Kelly Straub and Luciana Thomas were named to the women’s All-ACC Academic Team. Bottelberghe, Straub and Thomas all earned their third All-ACC academic team honor this year while Wilburn picked up his second honor. Brady and Christianson both earned the honor for the first time this season.
All six student-athletes competed at the 2022 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships this past March. Bottelberghe and Straub led the group by earning honorable mention All-American honors at the championships. Straub was named an All-American in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events while Bottelberghe got the honor in the 100 breaststroke.
