NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame sophomore Kelley Siemon (Edina, Minn.) has been one of 13 players from the BIG EAST Conference selected to play for the 1999 BIG EAST/Nike Women’s Basketball All-Star Team this summer.
The squad, which will be directed by Boston College head coach Cathy Inglese, will tour Belgium and Germany May 29-June 8 and will play five games against the top club teams from each country.
Siemon, a two-year starter for the Irish, helped Notre Dame to a 26-5 mark this season as the team earned a fourth consecutive NCAA tournament bid. The 6-2 forward averaged 5.8 points and was the third-leading rebounder at 5.0 rebounds per game.
The all-star team features one representative from each BIG EAST school and is comprised of three juniors, five sophomores and five freshmen.
