NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame women’s soccer team – ranked second in the preseason NSCAA coaches poll – will open its 2007 regular season this weekend with a pair of televised games, at home versus Michigan (Friday, Aug. 31; 7:30 p.m.; Comcast Local) and then at 7th-ranked Florida on Sunday, Sept. 2 (1:30 p.m.; Sunshine Sports) … the Irish have not lost a season opener in the current decade and carry a 41-game unbeaten streak (40-0-1) at Alumni Field (third-longest in NCAA history, as is the active 32-game home winning streak) … ND returns seven starters and four top reserves from its dominating 2006 team that spent most of the season ranked #1 and reached the NCAA title game before finishing 25-1-1 … Notre Dame – which played a pair of challenging preseason games against #1 North Carolina (2-2) and #9 Virginia (3-1; in Ft.
